Shabby Chic Styled Shoot

I'm still reeling from the gorgeous shabby chic styled shoot I did last weekend with Carol, Courtney and Ruthi! This new chapel in Boyd is gorgeous all by itself....but add some pretty details from Ruthi and I....and the always spectacular photography style of Courtney....and you get a styled shoot that will take your breath away! There are still more photos that I can't share yet, so look for a follow up post with even more gorgeousness coming next week!

Venue Tour at Boyd Avenue Chapel

There's a brand new little slice of heaven in Boyd, Texas! I literally felt my breath catch and I made a little gasp as I walked in the front door of the chapel! Boyd Avenue Chapel is absolutely gorgeous from top to bottom. Rounded archways and doorways, curved wooden pews in the chapel, fire pit and beautiful landscaping outside, a beautiful bridal suite, original wooden floors, and so many other amazing touches.

Last weekend we had the opportunity to tour the space, set up a shabby chic styled shoot, and participate in an open house at this gorgeous new chapel. I can't wait to see what the future brings for Carol and this beautiful space, and I cant wait to see what Courtney Lynn Photography captured at the styled shoot! Contact Carol Rose to schedule a tour of this amazing new chapel in Boyd!

Happy Anniversary Danielle & Nick

This wedding was just stunning! I absolutely love working with this shade of Tiffany blue. We provided flowers, lighting, linens and ceremony archway for this wedding, and it all came together so perfectly. Everything was so classy and elegant from top to bottom! Still one of my favorites to this day! Happy anniversary 7th to Danielle and Nick, and best wishes for many, many more!

#FloralFriday :: What Flowers Do We Need For Our Wedding?

Brides carrying flowers on wedding day is a tradition dating back to Ancient Rome. Brides carried or wore floral garlands because they believed that flowers signified new beginnings, fertility, warded off evil spirits.... and to be honest, they just helped to cover up body odor and make everything smell more pleasant. :)

In current times, there are several places that flowers are used and welcomed at weddings. Here is a list of possibilities you might want to consider when deciding what flowers you want and/or need to have for your wedding day:

Your venue may have specific areas you want to decorate with flowers (chandeliers, doorways, patios, windows, additional tables, etc...). You don't have to include everything from the list by any means, but it gives you a good idea of what options are available and what you might like to have.

Texas Brides To Be Network Monthly Luncheon

I've recently joined a Facebook group that I am so happy to be a part of! It promotes community over competition and positivity, which is becoming rare to find these days in such a saturated market! Such an inspiring group! Last week was their second monthly networking meet and greet luncheon and it once again proved that this group is going to be amazing to be a part of!

As always,
Brandi McComb Photography has done an incredible job of creating and maintaining this wonderful group along with planning and carrying out these luncheons. I connected with many wonderful vendors at the luncheon and was very impressed!

If you're a local bride who wants to participate in a fun and helpful wedding community on Facebook, or a vendor looking for a positive and supportive group to participate in, please visit this group and see what they have to offer!
