#TuesdayTips :: Tipping Suggestions

Tipping is a section of your budget you don't want to overlook. Make sure to include it when making your budget plans. It can be a significant hit at the last minute if you haven't prepared! It's suggested that 5% of your total budget be put aside to cover tipping and gratuities. Suggested tipping is as follows (percentage is of their fee):

Caterer/Banquet Manager :: 15%-20%
Bartender/Waitstaff :: $20-$50 each
Delivery Staff :: $30-$50 each 
Transportation :: 15%-20%
DJ :: 15%-20%
Band / Musicians :: $30-$50 each
Hair & Makeup :: 15%-20%
Parking Attendants/Valet :: $1-$2 per car
Wedding Planner/Coordinator :: 15%-20%

Another tip is to be sure and check your contracts with each vendor to see if "gratuity" is included in your service price. Some vendors will include this upfront, and if so it doesn't need to be covered twice. If it's not in your contract, put their tips in labeled envelopes to hand out on wedding day and assign your coordinator or someone else trustworthy to handle the task for you.
