3 Reasons To Have A Signature Drink At Your Event

Every Saturday we post a signature cocktail idea for use at weddings, parties or other events. The signature drink is a wonderful addition to any gathering for so many reasons! I find myself suggesting a signature drink to brides and clients quite often, and here are the top three reasons that I always make the suggestion!

Incorporate Your Theme
Signature drinks can be any color, have any name, have any garnish, be served in any glass, and there are so many ways to tie that in with your theme and color palette choices. Really go all out for your signature drink and wow your guests! Use colored glassware, create a bar sign to match, come up with a catchy name that's fitting for the event, incorporate an themed ice sculpture for pouring....small details like these are definitely noticed by your guests!

Quicker Lines
If you choose to serve a signature cocktail only (or beer + wine + signature drink) then your bartenders can knock out the mixing and serving quicker and guests will get through the lines much faster. Depending on the cocktail you choose, it's possible that it can even be pre-mixed before the event so your bartender just has to pour and serve. This is a huge plus for events with large crowds to eliminate long wait times for beverages,

Save Money
If you have a tight budget, serving a signature drink only (or beer + wine + signature drink) can cut the bar tab drastically. With a full bar, you're generally charged for any open bottles (even if only 1 drink was poured). You won't have the excess unused bottles this way!

Happy Anniversary Larissa + Richard

Happy tenth anniversary to Larissa & Richard! They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at a lakeside winery. The bride's father played the flute for her walk down the aisle and it was so beautiful! I learned so much about the Brazilian culture while working with this wedding because Larissa had ideas to incorporate her heritage in so many ways! The wedding favors were Havainas (Brazilian flip flops) with a tag explaining them and their culture. Everyone wore them for dancing! Ten years later I still have mine and still wear them! So comfy!! It was a truly beautiful occasion and such a loving family to work with! Happy anniversary y'all! Cheers to many, many more!

DIY :: Mini Wine Carafe Bridesmaid Gifts

Everyone deserves a little wine and a little candy, especially your bridesmaids! In this DIY mini-wine gift idea, we’re combining a darling plastic mini-carafe, a mini bottle of wine and jelly beans to make a super sweet present for your besties. Use one (or all) of our 3 free printable labels to embellish this cute gift in a snap; we’ve got “I Do Crew”, “Brides Tribe”, and “Team Bride”. Whether they’re going to be a special gift during a part of your wedding celebrations, like your bridal shower, or whether they’ll be just for fun – I guarantee that your gals will LOVE these cuties!

    Candy Of Your Choice
Fill the mini-carafs with your favorite candies! I used Jelly Beans, and the gold ones are Champagne flavor, but you can use any little sweets that will fit!

    SUPPLIES:
    • Mini Wine Carafes (mine are from Oriental Trading)
    • Mini Sutter Home Wines
    • 8.5 x 11 Sticker Paper
    • Candies
    • Cute Ribbon
    • Scissors
    • Our free printable labels at the end of the post!

    Add The Candies
As I mentioned earlier, I used Jelly Beans but you can use any type of small candies that will fit in the carafes. If you fill them to this level, each one will hold about 6.5 ounces of beans!

    Download + Print + Cut
Download one of our free labels at the end of the post, print onto 8.5″ x 11″ sticker paper and then trim each one out.

    Add New Labels
Peel the backing off the sticker and add each new label to the wine bottle – but remember to do it upside down!

    Carafe + Wine
Add a wine bottle to each carafe! Finding out that these guys fit together SO perfectly was such a treat… and really the only reason that you’re seeing this project on the blog!

    Add A Bow
Add a ribbon bow, or don’t, your call, they’re cute either way… and that’s all there is to it!

    Treat Your Ladies
Your Bride Tribe is going to take care of you from engagement to grand exit, so make them a little something special to show them how much you care!

Print the I Do Crew labels here
Print the Bride Tribe labels here
Print the Team Bride labels here
