Valentine's Day Floral Deliveries

I've always delivered flowers for any occasion that I'm asked to, but last year I had the idea to offer some non-floral add-on's for our deliveries. I talked with a few caterers and bakers that I know and decided to add some of their treats to our Valentine floral orders!

Well, it went over so well last year that we decided to do it again this year! We delivered lots of smiles and giggles with our flowers, and we got so many compliments on the Strawberry Mousse Cupcakes and Ghirardelli Chocolate Covered Strawberries from Elmbrook Catering Co.! They always do such a fantastic job on the treats! These cupcakes are seriously beyond delicious!

If you need flowers in DFW for any occasion, whether it's a large wedding or a single birthday delivery....contact us for current floral specials!

#SignatureSaturdays :: A Very Cherry Christmas Cocktail

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces Cherry Vodka
  • ½ ounce Baileys
  • ½ ounces Chocolate Liqueur
  • Splash of cream
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Several maraschino cherries
Instructions
  1. Fill a shaker with ice and pour in the vodka, Baileys, the chocolate liqueur, and cream.
  2. Shake well until chilled.
  3. Optionally, drizzle a chilled martini glass with chocolate syrup.
  4. Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.
  5. Garnish with cherries on a skewer.

The Very Cherry Christmas drink recipe tastes quite a bit like a chocolate covered cherry. It blends cherry vodka with the flavors of chocolate and Irish cream to create a flavor that's rich, sweet and easy on the palate. This is a great one for Christmas parties.

Happy Anniversary :: Jessica + Chris

Jessica + Chris
September 24

Jessica + Chris had an exquisite wedding at an extremely gorgeous venue! One of my all time favorites for sure! They were such a laid back and sweet couple to work with! Beauty was everywhere from the grand ceremony, to the flowers, to the lovely bridesmaids, to the wedding cake....and the bride herself...wow! Her dress was magical! The live band kept the reception jumping all night, and it was all around a superb day! Happy Anniversary Jessica + Chris, sending hugs and best wishes!

Vendor Spotlight :: Yelibelly Chocolates

All I can say is OMG! These chocolate creations are ooh-soo-good! I had the pleasure of stopping by Yelibelly Chocolates in Addison today and met with the amazing chocolatier herself, Yeli. It was a fabulous meeting! She has some gorgeous and delicious options for so many events....weddings, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions...even corporate logos for business events or client gifts. Truffles and bon bons, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered Oreos and chocolate covered strawberries are all on the list of offerings from Yelibelly! I could go on and on, but I'll let the photos speak for themselves....

Beyond the amazing chocolates, they offer Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Stations that I cannot WAIT to use at an event! You'll have to see it to believe it....watch the video below!

Ice Cream Bar with toppings – flavors can include chilly favorites like Mint or even boozy options like Espresso infused Rum and Amaretto

Icy S’mores Bar – watch our creamy marshmallow infused ice cream be prepared then top it off with chocolate sauce, graham crackers and more. Ask for a frozen graham cracker in your dessert to bring a real CHILL to your dessert experience

Frozen Champagne – frozen sorbet is prepared fresh, onsite with liquid nitrogen and topped off with a smoking champagne to sip on.

5 Tips to Create a Memorable Engagement Proposal

This week on the blog we'll be featuring articles and photos geared towards the Grooms and Gents! We'll start at the beginning with the engagement proposal. This is the big kick off for the whole series events, so use it to set the tone for all the happiness to come!

1. Choose a Spot: Beautiful, Personal or Memorable
Choose a location for your proposal. The place you first met, a gorgeous spot you both love by the lake, or somewhere personal to you both. Location makes a huge impact on your proposal! Choose a meaningful and memorable spot.

2. Make it Personal
If she doesn't like crowds, don't do something like propose on camera at half time at a basketball game. Be sure to take into consideration what she loves, what she doesn't, and what absolutely takes her breath away. This is a huge moment that you don't want to overlook, so go the extra mile to ensure it's exactly what she's always dreamed of.

3. Make it Beautiful
Flowers, rose petals, a beautiful ring box, candles, surprises, a delicious and beautiful dessert, a gorgeous outdoor spot at sunset....make it noticeable that you went the extra mile to think of her and create something amazing for her. That is something that won't be forgotten!

4. Hire a Photographer
There's nothing more special than being able to look back on that moment forever. Hire a photographer to be nearby and capture the moment unbeknownst to her, then bring out the photographer afterwards for some ring shots and photos of the two of you. It's something she'll always treasure being able to look back on!

5. Enlist Help
In order to pull off the event completely as a surprise, it may take the assistance of others to handle the details! Enlist both of your friends or family, assuming they can keep the secret as well! If you want it to be perfect and don't know how to pull it off, hire a professional. We offer Engagement Proposal packages where we make all of the arrangements and set everything up for you...all you have to do is show up with your love and your ring and pop the question!

DIY :: For Richer or For Poorer Chocolate Favors

Everyone loves chocolate, so embrace your vows with this sweet, DIY wedding favor idea! All you need is some sticker paper, chocolate coins, treat boxes and our darling, free printable labels. Easy to make and budget friendly, these favors will definitely bring a smile and maybe even a chuckle to your guests’ faces!

There are loads of candy + party stores that carry chocolate coins and there are actually loads of different colors of foil that they come in. I chose to stick to the classic silver to actually look like money, but if you find coins that match your wedding colors – I think you should go for it!

SUPPLIES:
  • 2.4″ Clear Square Treat Boxes
  • 8.5″ x 11″ White Sticker Paper
  • 1″ Chocolate Coins
  • Scissors
  • Our FREE printable labels at the end of the post!

How To:
  • Download our FREE labels at the end of the post
  • Decide on your favorite label shape and print onto 8.5″ x 11″ sticker paper
  • Cut out the labels
  • Assemble the treat boxes (you could use bags instead)
  • Fill the boxes with chocolate coins
  • Remove the sticker paper backing from the label and adhere to the box – done!
These boxes held 4oz of chocolate, which was exactly 30 coins.

Colored Paper Optional

You don’t have to use white sticker paper for these labels! You can easily use colored paper to match your event, as the color will show through the design. Adhere with scrapbooking adhesive and you’ll have yourself a truly custom favor!
