Planning Tips :: How To Use Your Time Between Ceremony & Reception

As a planner, my first suggestion is always to enjoy the cocktail hour with your guests! If you plan your day accordingly, you should be able to make that happen. There's no sense in all that planning and then you don't even get to try the hors d'oeuvres!

However there are circumstances where sometimes that can't happen, there might not be any cocktail hour planned, or maybe the couple isn't very interested in the cocktail hour overall. For those folks, there are some excellent ways to make valuable use of your time between ceremony and reception. Your photos and videos will be your forever memories of this day, so use this time to capture something absolutely fantastic!

If the wedding party is done with pics and wants to go to cocktail hour, this time can be devoted to getting something special for the bride and groom only.

Go somewhere fun!
A carnival, a merry go round, putt putt golf, the lake...any fun activity that you enjoy will get you some great wedding day photos! Your photographer can capture both candid shots and posed shots. Let the fun begin!

Take a ride!
Whether it's in a boat, a golf cart, a horse, a getaway car....it's always great fun to take a spin, so have at it and let your photographer get some great photos of the fun!
