Venue Tour :: The Springs (Denton) :: The Lodge

This afternoon I went to take a tour of this lovely place! I have a wedding coming up there on June 17th, so I did the final walkthrough and setup details today.

I absolutely love the light from the windows. It creates a gorgeous reflection on the floor. The fireplace is a beautiful focal point for the lodge, and the staircase is quite grand as well. The seating areas are comfy and lovely, and the patio has some amazing views!

I must also say, this place has it together! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they have so much valuable information available right at their fingertips, and they're very helpful with ideas and tips for getting the best out of their venue. I can't wait to see this wedding on the 17th!

#SignatureSaturdays :: Red White & Blue Sangria Sparkler

These Red, White, and Blue Sangria Sparklers are a pretty show stopper perfect for Memorial Day, July 4th, backyard cookouts, and any summer time fun in the sun event!

Ingredients

• 1 750 ml Bottle of Riesling Wine chilled
• 1 750 ml Bottle of Prosecco Wine chilled
• 3 tbs sugar
• 1 cup sliced stawberries
• 1 cup blueberries

Instructions

1. Pour Riesling into a pitcher.
2. Add sugar and stir.
3. Add strawberries and blueberries, stir, cove, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. In a wine glass, pour half a glass of Prosecco. Top other half with Riesling making sure to include the blueberries and strawberries.
5. Serve. Cheers!

The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry + Meghan Markle

Yesterday morning was the long awaited royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle. The wedding took place at St. George's Chapel in Windsor and everything was just gorgeous!  Meghan's ceremony dress was elegant and simple, and she changed into another for the reception! Prince Harry made me swoon a few times with the sweet things he did! He hand-picked the forget-me-nots from his mother Princess Diana's garden for Meghan's bouquet, and he whispered "I'm so lucky" when he saw Meghan at the altar. We did an Instagram giveaway for a Mother's Day gift Basket. Each participating vendor contributed a prize to the basket, and one lucky winner was chosen from our contest on Instagram! Our winner @seemommyknit was super excited to win the amazing basket, and she came by with her daughter to pick it up! We had to snap a group photo of everyone while she was there!
