#FloralFriday :: What Flowers Do We Need For Our Wedding?

Brides carrying flowers on wedding day is a tradition dating back to Ancient Rome. Brides carried or wore floral garlands because they believed that flowers signified new beginnings, fertility, warded off evil spirits.... and to be honest, they just helped to cover up body odor and make everything smell more pleasant. :)

In current times, there are several places that flowers are used and welcomed at weddings. Here is a list of possibilities you might want to consider when deciding what flowers you want and/or need to have for your wedding day:

Your venue may have specific areas you want to decorate with flowers (chandeliers, doorways, patios, windows, additional tables, etc...). You don't have to include everything from the list by any means, but it gives you a good idea of what options are available and what you might like to have.

#FloralFriday :: Feather Accents in your Florals

I'm a huge fan of feathers! So many colors, so many styles, so many sizes, and they all add an element of whimsy to any arrangement! I used them in my own wedding, and ever since then I've been in love with them! They make great accents for centerpieces, bouquets, alter arrangements and other table arrangements. Check out some of the ways we've used them in the past!

Want something a bit less expensive than feathers? Depending what you want them to look like, you can try tree fern! It can be spray painted any color, you can add glitter, and when it's added to arrangements it can give the look of feathers!

Country star Scotty McCreery and his girlfriend of six years Gabi Dugal tied the knot at Twickenham House & Hall in the North Carolina mountains on Saturday in front of more than 200 of their loved ones, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.

“We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays,” the American Idol winner — whose single “This Is It” off his No. 1 album Seasons Change details their love story and sweet proposal — told PEOPLE before the wedding. “I support her dreams and she supports mine.”

Congrats Mykel + Mike :: September 16, 2017

Today is wedding day for Mykel + Mike! Such a charming wedding for an adorable couple at Chapel Creek Ranch, a rustic gem of a venue in Denton. Absolutely lovely place for a wedding! The ladies sent photos so I knew exactly what they wanted, and it turned out so lovely! Mykel even had me add a shotgun shell for her Dad's boutonniere...loved that!!

Congrats Mykel + Mike!! :)
